  • I have been to Kolonaki a few times after a friend introduced me to it, and oh boy is it delicious! The Greek Chicken Gyros (whether a plate or a wrap) is extremely tasty and the Kolonaki sauce which comes with the chicken gyros is also quite amazing! Although the actual restaurant is pretty small, Kolonaki still maintains its excellent service and enjoyable, tasty and delicious food!

  • Absolutely delicious. The mixed wrap with chips was amazing. The tzatziki and chips with the paprika was so good. This was my first time here, and enjoyed it very much. The ladies forgot to give us any cutlery or water. But that's fine, I'll be back again.

  • I really enjoyed the restaurant and one of the staff was very enthusiastic and gentle. He help us understand the different dishes and give us some advice on how to order. It was a very heartwarming experience and I'm sure we will come back again soon. Everything was fresh and delicious. It's just that the size are a little too big for the Chinese girls, so that I recommend 2 people order one meal. Wonderful experience !!

  • Really enjoyed the food here. It was extremely busy so service was a little slow. The saganaki had like a melted lemon butter on it. The meat was flavoursome and a generous serving. Will def go back.

  • The atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed, perfectly capturing the spirit of contemporary Athenian hospitality. We ordered the Chicken Gyros Plate with Kolonaki, a fresh Greek salad with shredded chicken and feta, and a Chicken Gyros wrap for the kids — and every dish was absolutely delicious. The gyros plate was generous and bursting with flavour, featuring perfectly seasoned, tender chicken and golden, crispy chips. The Greek salad was wonderfully fresh, with crisp vegetables, juicy shredded chicken, and creamy feta that tied everything together beautifully. Even the kids’ wrap was a hit — simple, tasty, and perfectly portioned. The quality of the ingredients really stood out — everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and full of authentic Mediterranean flavour. The combination of modern presentation and traditional taste makes this place truly special. A must-try in Melbourne’s inner eastern suburbs! Whether you’re after a family meal, a date night, or just craving top-notch Greek food, this restaurant won’t disappoint.

  • We knew we were going to get a delicious and flavoursome feed when we could smell the rotating meats as we walked in! This brightly lit spot provides excellent Greek and Athenian foods in the local suburb of Malvern! And we can tell that this place was popular with how busy it was when we went and how often takeaway meals were walking out the door! There was a great variety of options in the menu choosing from wraps, mixed plates, salad & sides. They even can make dishes gluten free .. so no one misses out! We ordered (between two people): Garlic Lamb Wrap Mixed Gyros Plate Politiki Coleslaw Salad Various Desserts The meats were so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. The garlic cheese wrap on the lamb wrap definitely made this different to other gyros we have had in the past... and this was definitely better! And we cannot rave on how much we enjoyed the coleslaw salad it added freshness, sweet and tangy flavours that complemented out spread!

  • The food was delicious and service was also good. The quantity of the food was also good and definitely sharable. Just felt that the price is on a higher end. The environment and accessibility to the place is also good.

  • I visited Kolonaki Athenian Street Food in September 2025 with some friends on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm. Parking was easy and we found plenty of free street spots nearby. Plus a small lot that was also free on weekends. Public transport is a breeze too, with trams running along Glenferrie Road and Malvern Station a short walk away. The restaurant sits on a street corner with a few outdoor tables, and inside it’s cosy and welcoming. The smell of the food hit us as soon as we walked in. There’s a counter at the front for ordering and drinks, with a neat line of tables that had plenty of space for our group of four. The service was so friendly and helpful from the moment we ordered. I went for the garlic lamb wrap, which came out within about 15–20 minutes and was honestly amazing! Super juicy lamb, packed with flavour, and the extra onion I asked for (which they really delivered on!). It was a little greasy, but in the best way. One of my friends ordered the same wrap but with halloumi added, another went for a mixed gyros, and we all shared a bowl of sweet potato fries. Everything looked beautiful, was presented really well, and tasted fantastic. My friends were just as impressed, they kept complimenting the food the whole way through, even the chips were a hit. The atmosphere was buzzing for a Saturday afternoon, with the restaurant full of happy patrons. The decor is cute and warm, making it feel really inviting on what was otherwise a dreary day outside. I couldn’t quite finish my wrap, but they happily provided a little box so I could take the rest home. My friends, on the other hand, polished theirs off with no trouble at all. For a group of four, we spent under $80 in total, which felt very reasonable for the serving sizes and quality of food. Between the great flavours, friendly service, and cosy vibe, Kolonaki is an absolute gem in Malvern. If you’re into Greek food or just looking for a good meal in the area, I highly recommend giving this place a go.
